Cattle Smuggling in Phansidewa: BSF jawan injured, one apprehended

Phansidewa, 27th March: A BSF jawan was injured while stopping cattle smuggling. A cattle smuggler was detained at Murikhawa on the India-Bangladesh border of Phansidewa and a pistol and a round of ammunition were recovered from him. Additionally, four cattle were also rescued in the incident.


According to sources, on Thursday morning, as the BSF jawan asked asked a group of smugglers traveling from India to Bangladesh to stop, some managed to escape. During this, a smuggler fired at the BSF jawan and attacked with a sharp weapon .

Amidst the scuffle, other BSF jawans reached the spot and apprehended smuggler Mohammad Mozaffar Hussain. Later, the accused was handed over to the police.
