Alipurduar, 09th January: The carcass of a Sambar deer has been recovered from the roadside on the Asian Highway in the Rangalibazna area under the Madarihat block of Alipurduar district.
Reportedly, on Tuesday morning, the locals spotted the body of a Sambar deer and reported the matter to the Forest Department. Upon receiving the news, Madarihat Forest Department personnel arrived at the spot and recovered the deceased body. However, the precise cause of the death would be known after a post-mortem examination.
