Jalpaiguri, 24th November: The Department of Consumer Affairs is likely to provide assistance to the people who have been deceived in several ways while buying products.
Despite constant publicity in this regard, many people across Jalpaiguri have repeatedly complained of being victims of fraudulent activities. Hence, the state’s Consumer Affairs and Fairtrade practices rights launched awareness campaigns across the Jalpaiguri district.
The officials of the state consumer protection department raised awareness through miking. Officials say that people must buy things with receipts which will help the buyers be free from fraudulent activities.
