Rajganj, 30th August: Sensation prevailed after an incident of burglary was reported in the Chamarjote area of Majhiali gram panchayat in Rajganj, on Sunday.
According to local sources, two thieves broke into the house of Begum Bewar in the aforementioned area, this morning.
However, as the house owner sensed something suspicious inside their home, one of the thieves somehow managed to escape the scene and the other ran away along with a mobile phone. Acting promptly, the family members followed the latter and caught him red-handed along with the mobile phone. He was tied up and beaten by the locals and later handed over to the police.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Rajganj police reached the spot and arrested the accused youth. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
Hamidul Mohammad, a local panchayat member, stated that the accused has confessed his crime. However, one of them managed to escape.
