Bagdogra, 16th July: Burglary at a Buddhist monastery in Dara village of Bagdogra Gram Panchayat created a stir in the entire area.
It has been learned that on Friday morning, a member of the monastery committee noticed that the lock of the temple was broken. The police were informed immediately after the incident.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot shortly after and started an investigation. A donation box was recovered from a nearby forest.
It is to be noted that burglaries were reported in three houses under Bagdogra police station on Thursday afternoon. Following the numerous robberies, people are questioning the security system and the role of police administration.
