Phansidewa, 11th September: The body of a man was recovered near NH 31 at Jagannathpur in Phansidewa. The deceased has been identified as Nalilla Ashok, a resident of the Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
It has been learned that the locals sighted the body lying in the said area. Following which, the Bidhannagar outpost police were informed. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Police are investigating the case as the man’s legs were found tied up. It is being assumed that the deceased was either the truck driver or a conductor.
