Cooch Behar, 09th October: Sensation prevailed after a lifeless body was recovered from the government forest area of Jamaldah Gram Panchayat of Mekhliganj block.
According to reports, on Monday morning, the body was spotted by the local women who went to the forest to fetch wood. Following this, the police were informed about the incident. Upon receiving the news, Mekhliganj police rushed to the scene, retrieved the body, and transported it to Mathabhanga Mortuary for an autopsy.
It is to be noted that the deceased individual mysteriously disappeared after he traveled to a relative’s house in Jamaldah three days prior. The police have begun investigating the entire incident.
