Bodies of two Bangladeshi youths recovered from Indo-Bangladesh border in Phansidewa

Phansidewa, 08th May: In Phansidewa, a grim atmosphere prevailed as the bodies of two Bangladeshi youths were discovered near the Indo-Bangladesh border, sparking widespread attention in the locality.


According to reports, late on Tuesday night, the two youths attempted to infiltrate through the border in Phansidewa. During this, they encountered a possible gunfire from BSF personnel, resulting in fatalities. On Wednesday, the locals gathered near the barbed fence in the Fakir Para area, where the incident took place.

Upon being alerted, the cops from Phansidewa police station swiftly responded, alongside BSF personnel, to recover the bodies. The deceased bodies were subsequently transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examinations.


Initial investigations suggest the youths may have been involved in cross-border activities, possibly related to cattle smuggling. Phansidewa police station has initiated a detailed probe into the incident.
