Siliguri, 18th December: A blood donation camp was organized at Matigara police station under the ‘Utsarga’ scheme of Siliguri Metropolitan Police. The mega camp was organized with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Siliguri Uttarayan in the presence of Commissioner Gaurav Sharma.
In this regard, Commissioner Gaurav Sharma said that the main objective of this project is to help needy people and alleviate the blood crisis. Camps have already been organized in different police stations. More than 100 units of blood are being collected from each camp. This project will build good relations between the police and the common people.
On the other hand, a member of the Rotary Club of Siliguri Uttarayan appreciated the initiative taken and said that Siliguri Metropolitan Police is cooperating in social work.
