Rajganj, 10th March: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Parivartan Yatra reached Rajganj Assembly area on Monday night. Party leaders held meetings at Talma More and Gandar More, where thousands of BJP workers and supporters welcomed the yatra.
At Talma, a roadshow was organised with the presence of Falakata MLA Deepak Barman, BJP district president Shyamal Roy, Nitai Mandal, Ashish Dey, Jalpaiguri District Mahila Morcha leaders Preeti Barman, Mitali Roy, Arjun Mondal, Ajay Adhikari, and other party leaders.
After the Talma meeting, the yatra moved to Gandar More, where another gathering was held. During the event, several families reportedly left the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP, according to party sources.
After concluding the programme in Rajganj, the Parivartan Yatra proceeded through Dabgram-Fulbari Assembly area before entering Siliguri.
