BJP worker Ulen Roy’s wife appeal for a job after husband’s demise

Siliguri, 08th December: The death of 50-year old BJP worker Ulen Roy, resident of Mantadari in Gajoldoba, during Uttarkanya Abhiyan yesterday has heated the atmosphere amid the political arena. State politics has been in full swing since his death.


Central and state leaders, as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs, have accused the state government of the incident. Meanwhile, the autopsy report says that Roy died due to shotgun injuries. While the state police tweeted that they do not use shotguns, TMC held BJP responsible for Roy’s death and stated that the party members own shotguns.

Meanwhile, Roy’s wife and three children broke down after receiving the news of his death. On Tuesday morning, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, Nishith Pramanik, Jayanta Roy, and other MPs and BJP leaders visited their house.


Addressing the media, Roy’s wife Malati Roy stated that her husband wanted to become a Panchayat member and wanted to see his two sons employed. Hence, she desperately demanded a job.

Meanwhile, Minister Goutam Deb assured to meet the mourning family and hear out their grievances if they allow him to.
