Mirik, 10th March: While the political atmosphere in the region is heating up ahead of the assembly elections, several political parties are announcing their candidate from different assembly constituency.
Amid this, speculation of Nimesh Sundas, a former administrative officer and a social activist, likely to contest the Matigara-Naxalbari’s 25th assembly constituency as a BJP candidate is high. Sources say that Sundas is considered a strong contender for BJP with the support of more than one lakh people.
With the confidence of being selected as the party’s candidate, Sundas stated that he is determined to work for the social and educational development of the Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Adivasis and other non-Nepali speaking community of the constituency after he wins.
