BJP supporters continue to protest over the party’s candidate selection in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 19th March: Huge protests continue in Jalpaiguri after Sujit Sinha was selected as the BJP candidate for the Jalpaiguri assembly. Ever since the names were announced on Thursday, BJP leaders and activists have been protesting across the city.


Similar protests were witnessed today as well. They protested in front of the BJP district office at DBC Road today. Meanwhile, they also demanded the expulsion of BJP district president Bapi Goswami and state BJP leader Mukul Roy.

The demonstrators alleged that the party’s vice president Dipendranath Pramanik who formed BJP in the Jalpaiguri district has not been nominated in any of the seats in the seven-state assemblies of the district. BJP leaders and activists appealed that their agitation will continue till the candidate is replaced.
