Siliguri, 17th January: Raising allegations against the Trinamool Congress for corruption in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Fulbari Circle Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party submitted a memorandum to the Fulbari Gram Panchayat office of Haripur Sahudangi. The TMC workers have been accused of building houses under the said scheme for themselves rather than the needy.
The BJP leaders and workers reached the Panchayat office through a rally on Tuesday. After staging a demonstration, they submitted a memorandum to the Pradhan in support of the four-point demands.
In this regard, BJP’s Jalpaiguri District President Bapi Goswami said that the central government is building houses for poor people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. However, the Trinamool Congress is taking advantage of this, he alleged. Goswami added that a memorandum has been submitted today in protest against the corruption.
