Naxalbari, 10th November: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Siliguri organizational district and Naxalbari block BJP staged a protest in front of the Naxalbari BDO office. During this, demands were made in favor of consumer rights, who were deprived of several central government schemes. In addition, the protestors also urged for a proper investigation of the alleged ration corruption prevalent throughout the state.
The protest was led by BJP Siliguri Organizational District Vice President Manoranjan Mandal, Secretary Babita Chhetri, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad leader of opposition Ajay Oraon, Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti’s opposition leader Shailen Roy, including other workers and supporters.
In this regard, Vice President of Siliguri Organizational District Manoranjan Mandal stated the protest was targeted against the ration corruption prevalent across the state. He added that the issues surrounding the Naxalbari area have been highlighted in the demonstration. Furthermore, he stated that in the current predicament of corruption, they would resort to a massive protest.
