Naxalbari, 24th July: A memorandum was issued on behalf of the BJP Naxalbari Mandal demanding the waiver of electricity bills for the lockdown period.
As per the information, the memorandum was submitted at the Naxalbari branch of West Bengal Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
District Secretary Dilip Baroi, Naxalbari Mandal President Monglu Roy, and many others were present during the programme.
The District Secretary stated that several people are living under severe crisis due to the ongoing lockdown. Therefore, it would be a huge burden if people are asked to pay the electricity bills in such a crisis.
