BJP leaders, activists protest in Jalpaiguri over candidate selection

Jalpaiguri, 18th March: Several BJP leaders and activists protested in Jalpaiguri expressing displeasure over Sujit Sinha being selected as the Jalpaiguri assembly candidate for the assembly elections in Bengal.

The party workers vandalized the party office in Jalpaiguri’s Kadamtala area and also burnt the posters of District BJP president Bapi Goswami.

BJP leader Kanan Roy expressed outrage and alleged that a new candidate has been nominated instead of the senior BJP leaders and workers.

Meanwhile, after receiving the news of the incident, a large police force reached the spot to handle the situation. A fire engine also arrived to extinguish the fire.
