Rajganj, 23rd August: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a protest by surrounding the Bhorer Alo police station in Rajganj on Friday, demanding action in connection with the R.G. Kar incident. The police station siege is part of a state-wide campaign by the BJP to address the alleged wrongdoing related to the case.
BJP supporters and workers gathered at the Bhorer Alo police station under the Siliguri Police Commissionerate. It is to be noted that the nationwide uproar over the R.G. Kar incident has seen widespread demonstrations from various groups, including doctors and members of different political and non-political organizations.
During the protest, BJP workers attempted to breach barricades and enter the police station, leading to raised slogans and chants against the authorities. The demonstrators called for the resignation of the Chief Minister.
