Siliguri, 20th July: State Home Secretary Alapan Bandopadhyay, on Monday, announced that a complete lockdown will be imposed in the state twice a week beginning July 23 to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Following this, Gorkha Janmukti Morcha President Binay Tamang appealed to the people of the hills to follow the two days a week lockdown in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts as well.
He urged the citizens not to leave their houses during the said lockdown.
