Siliguri, 06th September: The Bidhan Sporting Club paid tribute to Pranab Mukherjee, on Sunday.
The former President of India passed away on August 31 at the age of 84 while being treated for a lung infection and had also tested positive for the coronavirus.
Reportedly, the event was held in front of the club during which a minute of silence was observed and a wreath was laid at Pranab Mukherjee’s portrait. Besides, tribute was also paid to two late club members.
Club member Nantu Pal, Bablu Talukder, and other members were present during the programme.
