Siliguri, 02nd November: The Bhaktinagar police arrested a youth from the Amtala area of Ward No. 41 with illegal country-made liquor. The arrested accused has been identified as Tapan Roy (19).
It has been learned that Roy was going to deliver liquor to a shop on his motorcycle. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted an operation and arrested him. 20 bottles of country-made liquor were recovered from his possession.
During police interrogation, the accused youth confessed that he was on his way to deliver liquor to Sumati Roy’s shop. The police sent the accused to Jalpaiguri court today and started an investigation into the whole incident.
