Siliguri, 26th April: The undercover team of Bhakti Nagar Police Station conducted a swift tip-off raid and arrested five miscreants from the Fauji Maidan area before they could commit any criminal activity.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sonam Sherpa, a resident of Sikkim, and Amar Chakraborty, Vikas Thakur, Sandeep Dibali, and Sayan Barman, all residents of Siliguri. During the operation, the police recovered several weapons from the possession of the accused.
All five were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Saturday. Meanwhile, the police have launched a detailed investigation into the matter.
