Bengaluru flight cancelled, passengers protest at Bagdogra airport

Bagdogra, 27th February: Passengers travelling from Bagdogra to Bengaluru expressed anger and disappointment, after a flight to Bengaluru was cancelled. The angry passengers protested at the Bagdogra airport alleging no advance notice and information on the cancellation. 


 

About 34 railway workers, university students and patients were to board the flight and faced problems after the cancellation. A passenger, a railway worker said that they are railway employees and had a return ticket today after coming from Bengaluru. But, on reaching the airport, they found that the flight was cancelled and had not been informed as to why the flight was cancelled. 


 

The passenger further stated that being a government employee he has to go to work the next day. It has been reported by the airport authorities that the ticket will be available after two days. Similarly, other passengers also expressed their displeasure. Meanwhile, the airline and airport management has not officially spoken in this regard.
