Bengali Baul and Folk Artists Association holds protest march in Siliguri over arrest of monk in Bangladesh

Siliguri, 05th December: The Bengali Baul and Folk Artists Association’s Jalpaiguri District Committee staged a protest in response to the recent arrest of a Hindu monk in Bangladesh and the ongoing alleged atrocities against Hindus.


On Thursday, members of the association took out a protest march, which started from the Dhakeshwari Kali Temple premises, located near the Eastern Bypass, and concluded at the same location via Ashighar More.

Carrying placards and the national flag, the protestors demanded the immediate release of monk Chinmoy Prabhu. They also called for exemplary punishment for those responsible for attacking Hindus and destroying temples. Additionally, the protestors urged the resignation of Muhammad Yunus.
