Rajganj, 03rd April: In light of the coronavirus lockdown, the forest workers of the Belakoba Range distributed ration among 600 laborers of the closed Raipur tea garden on Friday.
As per the report, the Raipur tea garden in Patkata Gram Panchayat area under the Jalpaiguri District Sadar block district has been closed for the past two years. As a result, hundreds of workers are unemployed and have been hit hard by the lockdown. Therefore, such an initiative was taken by the forest workers.
Besides the range officers, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Hembram was present during the programme.
