Siliguri, 20th May: On Sunday night, miscreants stole the battery from a truck parked in front of the Bhakti Nagar police station in Siliguri, and fled the scene.
As per details received, the Bhakti Nagar traffic guard seized a goods truck 15 days ago after it collided with an electric pole. The truck has since been parked in front of the police station. The case is currently under judicial review, which prompted the owner to visit the truck daily for security concerns.
On Monday, during a routine inspection, the owner discovered that the truck’s battery was missing. Upon reporting the theft to the police, the officers expressed their surprise at the incident. Once the theft was discovered, the Bhakti Nagar police initiated a search for the culprits. The officials are currently investigating the matter.
