Kharibari, 15th May: A Bangladeshi youth, identified as Mohammad Hridoy Khan from Natore district in Bangladesh, was arrested at Panitanki on the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari for illegally entering India from Nepal.
According to SSB sources, the youth had flown from Bangladesh to Nepal with the intention of eventually reaching Serbia. However, he allegedly fell into a trap and ended up working in Nepal. While attempting to enter India with the help of an Indian youth, he was apprehended by the SSB.
Following his arrest on Wednesday night, the SSB handed him over to Kharibari police. On Thursday, he was produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. Police have launched an investigation into the entire incident.
