Kharibari, 08th June: The Kharibari police foiled attempted sand smuggling by apprehending a dumper truck loaded with sand. Following this, the driver, identified as Harishankar Roy (40) has been arrested. The accused is a resident of the Salugara area of Siliguri.
According to reports, the truck was apprehended during checking at Chakkarmari of the Bengal-Bihar border in Kharibari. Today, the accused has been produced before the Siliguri Divisional Court, while further investigation underway.
