Siliguri, 05th July: A massive fire engulfed a warehouse situated in Majhabari of Siliguri in an attempt to burn a wasp nest. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon and caused widespread commotion in the locality.
According to reports, the fire originated in a warehouse on a multi-storey structure. Upon receiving the news, the local fire brigades rushed to the scene and successfully doused the fire. However, several items in the warehouse were reduced to ashes.
Local sources indicated that the fire deliberately ignited when a wasp nest within the warehouse was burnt down. Upon arriving at the site, MLA Shikha Chatterjee commented that the reason behind the fire is not unknown and that the swift response of the fire brigade brought the situation under control.
