Siliguri, 31st January: The sixth Asian Rural Tourism Festival will be held from February 9 to February 13 at Kakarbhitta of the Indo-Nepal border.
At a press conference in the Siliguri Journalists Club, Raj Basu stated that the festival had first begun on the year 2012-13 and the Nepal Prime Minister has been associated with the festival since then. The event will also play an important role in strengthening the India-Nepal relations.
Basu further stated that the Asian Rural Tourism Festival aims to bring together all the homestays of North Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan and take the rural tourism industry into another level. The West Bengal Tourism Minister and the Nepal Chief Minister will be invited to attend the event.
