Siliguri, 28th April: Outgoing Left MLA Ashok Bhattacharya sanitized Ward No. 06 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation to curb the spread of the fatal COVID-19.
The second wave of coronavirus has hit the whole country. As the rate of infection is increasing, so are the death figures. Meanwhile, SMC has become guardianless due to the implementation of election rules. Hence, Bhattacharya took to the streets himself and sanitized different areas of the ward.
Ashok Bhattacharya said that state and center should make preparations to prevent the spread of the virus. He also appealed to all the citizens to fight the war together.
