Ashok Bhattacharya falls short of votes, leaves counting centre in Siliguri Assembly

Siliguri, 02nd May: Sanjukta Morcha CPIM candidate Ashok Bhattacharya is lagging behind a large number of votes in the Siliguri assembly.


In the fifth round, BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh is leading in the Siliguri assembly. Ashok Bhattacharya is comparatively behind. Following this, Bhattacharya left the counting centre.

Addressing the media, he was hesitant to make any comment. He said “The trend of Lok Sabha vote has remained. It is a political struggle. The party will make a political analysis on this issue.”
