Siliguri, 08th April: Addressing the media on Wednesday, the Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Ranjan Sarkar stated that apart from COVID-19, the citizens should also be conscious of mosquito-borne diseases.
Sarkar stated that fogging is underway in all the areas of Siliguri to prevent dengue. He also accused Siliguri Municipal Corporation of not appointing enough staff to deal with dengue. And further appealed the Mayor to appoint more workers in this regard.
Also, wholesale markets will remain open from tomorrow. In view of this, he urged all the traders to not take a hike in the price of commodities and also asked them to follow government guidelines regarding COVID-19.
