Anti-Yunus Posters Resurface in Siliguri: Labeling Bangladesh as ‘Jihadi Government’

Siliguri, 24th December: Posters opposing Mohammad Yunus have resurfaced in areas under the jurisdiction of the NJP police station. The posters were spotted in various locations between Ambikanagar and Bhalobasha More on Tuesday.


The posters carry strong anti-Bangladesh sentiments, accusing the Yunus-led government of supporting radical forces in Bangladesh. The posters further highlighted the ongoing issues such as the disrespect of the Indian national flag in Bangladesh and the persecution of Hindus there.

In response, protests holding anti-Bangladesh sentiments have erupted in several parts of India. In West Bengal, the citizens joined the protest, and hence, the posters surfaced in Siliguri.


Recently, similar posters have been put up featuring a picture of Muhammad Yunus and labeling the Bangladesh government as a ‘Jihadi Government.’
