Siliguri, 14th October: October 17 marks the centenary of the Communist Party.
The first Communist Party was founded on October 17, 1920, in Tuscany, Russia. In view of this, CPI(M) celebrates the day on October 17 across the entire country every year.
This year, the party office i.e. the Anil Biswas Bhawan in Siliguri was decorated with red lights and party flags.
CPI(M)’s Darjeeling district secretary Jibesh Sarkar said that various programmes will be held for one month in this regard.
