Rajganj, 04th February: Anganwadi workers staged a protest and submitted an 18-point demand memorandum to authorities. The demonstration was organized by the West Bengal Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Welfare Association in front of the office of the Rajganj Block Child Development Project Officer.
According to reports, around 300 Anganwadi workers and helpers from 12 Gram Panchayats of Rajganj Block took part in the protest.
On Tuesday, the protesting workers put forth 18 demands, including an honorarium and additional honorarium similar to developed states, the introduction of the National Education Act in the Integrated Child Development Project, government recognition as per the High Court order, implementation of government orders, and mobile phones for maintenance work as per the Central Government directive.
Following the protest, the workers submitted a memorandum to the Rajganj Integrated Child Development Project Officer.
