Fulbari, 17th July: In a tragic incident late Tuesday night, an ambulance carrying a patient crashed on Fulbari Bypass Canal Road, adjacent to Siliguri. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 pm.
Reportedly, the ambulance, traveling from Malbazar to Siliguri, lost control while overtaking a container and overturned on the side of the road. As a result, the driver sustained minor injuries.
Local residents quickly responded to the accident, and the NJP police station was promptly notified. The patient was rescued from the overturned ambulance and transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for further treatment.
The police have taken possession of the ambulance and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
