Fulbari, 29th June: An ambulance transporting a dead body to Bihar was involved in an accident at Radhabari near Jotiakali, resulting in injuries to the driver.
The incident occurred when a truck overturned in Jotiakali on Saturday morning, causing a significant traffic jam in the Radhabari area. The ambulance, carrying the deceased from Assam, was caught in the traffic jam and had to stop on the road. Subsequently, it was struck by a truck, leading to damage to the ambulance and injury to the driver.
Local residents and authorities rescued the injured ambulance driver, and the vehicle was taken to the NJP police station for further investigation. The truck involved in the collision was apprehended, and both the vehicle and its driver were detained.
Following the incident, the dead body was transferred to Bihar in another vehicle. Rajiul Haque, the owner of the ambulance, filed a formal complaint at the NJP police station, prompting an ongoing investigation into the accident.
