Rajganj, 21st October: Within two years, the Ambikanagar underpass has become dilapidated. Multiple potholes have been created which results to be prone to accidents during the rainy season.
Reportedly, the underpass was built around two years ago. The e-rickshaw (Toto) drivers alleged that several problems are faced throughout the year. Accidents are on the rise due to holes and mudslides all year round.
In this regard, Tapan Sinha, Trinamool president of Fulbari-1 gram panchayat, said that accidents have become frequent due to big potholes in the underpass. Besides, the roads in NJP and South Colony areas are dilapidated. However, the railway authorities have taken no appropriate steps so far. He further stated that a mass deputation will be given after Durga Puja.
