Rajganj, 02nd September: The Ambari outpost police arrested a youth on charges of sand mining on river illegally. The arrested accused has been identified ad Amit Roy, a resident of the Rajganj Gadheyagachh area. Police seized a truck and a tractor in the incident.
According to police sources, there are reports of illegal gravel smuggling from the Karatoya River in the Gadhyagach area of Binnaguri gram panchayat in Rajganj block. The police launched operations and arrested Roy. The arrested individual was produced at the Jalpaiguri court today.
