Siliguri, 08th February: An All-party meeting was held, today, under the leadership of the Darjeeling District Magistrate Deepap Priya P at the State Guest House, before the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections. The meeting was originally held regarding the reservation table of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections.
The meeting was called upon political parties to put forth their point of reference to any previously published reservation table. During the meeting, the DM clearly stated all political parties that a new and final reservation table will be published, on Monday, for the Municipal elections.
She further stated that a mistake had been made while collecting data of caste in various wards in the earlier reservation table, because of which, a second table will be published, on Monday. The Sub-divisional Officer Sumant Sahay and representatives of various parties were present in the meeting.
