Siliguri, 03rd September: AIDSO organised a protest march in Siliguri on Thursday over allegations of an attack on its students by ABVP members at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) the previous day.
The march began from Court More and passed through various parts of the city before concluding at Venus More. AIDSO members and supporters participated in the protest.
Following the march, a protest meeting was organised at Venus More, where AIDSO leaders and members addressed the gathering. The speakers strongly condemned the alleged incident and demanded appropriate action against those accused.
The organisation also demanded adequate security for students in educational institutions and called for the protection of a democratic environment on campuses.
