Agriculture department of GTA grants two lakhs to families of 8 deceased farmers

Bijanbari, 17th August: The Agricultural Department of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) has provided an allowance of Rs 2 lakhs to families of eight deceased farmers from the Pulbazar region in Darjeeling under the initiative of the West Bengal Krishak Bandhu scheme.


As per reports, the Agricultural Department of GTA has disbursed the allowance to the families of each farmer who passed away between the ages of 18 and 60. Government subsidy checks were handed over to the family members during a program held in the Sampad Bhavan of the Block Development Office in the presence of Department Member Satish Pokhrel, Joint Section Development Officer Khudiram Rava, Section Agriculture Officer Abhinav Bagdas, and other departmental officers and representatives of the bank.
