Siliguri, 13th May: According to the Calcutta High Court order, approximately 36,000 untrained primary teachers have had their jobs revoked. Among them are numerous teachers from Siliguri and nearby areas. In opposition to this decision, affected teachers and educators from Siliguri gathered today at Baghajatin Park to participate in a protest. They allege that the High Court’s ruling is a mockery of justice.
The protesters asserted that at the time of their appointment, obtaining training was not a requirement for securing a job in primary education, as per the existing rules. However, when the rule was introduced, everyone underwent training. The protesters strongly denounced this order from the High Court, expressing their strong disapproval. Throughout the demonstration, they demanded justice to be served.
