Administrative officials inspect preparations for Chhath Puja at Khemchi River Ghat in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 06th November: The District Magistrate Preeti Goyal along with administrative representatives visited the Khemchi River ghat in Naxalbari to review the preparations for the upcoming festival of Chhath Puja. The inspection was carried out under the initiative of the Naxalbari Janakalyan Samity.


On Tuesday, District Magistrate Preeti Goyal, Sub-Divisional Officer Abhijit Singhal, Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, BDO Pranab Chattopadhyay, Panchayat Samiti President Anand Ghosh, and other officials carefully examined the roads and ghat infrastructure in preparation for the festival.

Additional measures are being set up in order to ensure the safety and well-being of devotees during the rituals. Significantly, police camps will be set up, along with medical health camps, to provide necessary support. In addition, lifeguards and water board personnel will be stationed at the ghat to maintain public safety during the festival.
