Kharibari, 13th March: The administration conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Charna Jote, Buraganj, Kharibari, reclaiming government land and installing an official board on the site.
As per reports, acting on the orders of the District Magistrate (DM), a team comprising the Sub-Divisional Land Revenue Officer (SDLRO), the Kharibari Land and Land Revenue Officer, and the police reached the location on Thursday and removed the illegal encroachment.
To prevent unrest, a large police force, including the Circle Inspector, was deployed at the scene. It was reported that an individual named Dulal Barman had been illegally constructing on the occupied government land.
Following administrative intervention, approximately 44 katthas of land were successfully freed from encroachment.
