Jalpaiguri, 6th January: Sensation prevailed after 4 people were injured in road accident in Jalpaiguri. The identities of the injured are not known yet.
It was reported that a car rammed several pedestrians on Sunday night. The vehicle then overturned after hitting an electric pole in the Police Line area from Jalpaiguri Post Office. Three passengers in the vehicle and a bicycle rider were injured in the incident. Out of them, the condition of two passengers of the car is critical.
Upon receiving the news, the Jalpaiguri Kotwali police reached the spot, cut the vehicle with gas cutter and rescued the injured. They were then rushed to the Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital.
The Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
