Rajganj, 09th September: The 90th death anniversary of renowned social reformer Manishi Panchanan Barma was solemnly observed across various locations in Rajganj on Monday.
In the Mehendiganj area of Majhiali Gram Panchayat, a commemorative event was held at Chiarikhari on the banks of the Karatoya River. Organized by the Uttar Banga Kshatriya Rajbanshi Kulguru and Kulsishya Bhakta Samajseva Pratisthan, the event included floral tributes to Panchanan Barma’s idol, alongside discussions on his life, contributions, and lasting impact.
The anniversary was also marked in other areas such as Jhanjupara, Aripara, and Adarsha Pally. Dignitaries including Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamoy Barman, Karunakanth Adhikari, and Hardeva Adhikari attended to pay their respects.
