Siliguri, 02nd March: Police of NJP Police Station arrested one person along with nine stolen bicycles during a late-night operation. The accused has been identified as Vibhas Dutta, a resident of Bhuttabari area.
According to sources, multiple complaints regarding bicycle theft had recently been lodged at the NJP Police Station. Based on those complaints, police launched an investigation. On Sunday night, acting on specific inputs, police conducted a raid in the Bhuttabari area and recovered nine stolen bicycles, arresting the accused from the spot.
During the investigation, police also learned that the accused had allegedly been involved in various anti-social activities in the past.
The arrested individual was produced before the Jalpaiguri Court on Monday.
