Cooch Behar, 10th September: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) Committee of Cooch Behar district observed the 89th Tirodhan Diwas of Manishi Panchanan Barma. The event was organized at Cooch Behar Rash Mela ground at 9 am on Sunday. North Bengal Development Minister Udayan Guha, Cooch Behar District TMC Chairman Girindrananth Barman, Cooch Behar Municipality Chairman Rabindranath Ghosh, and other TMC leaders were present at the program.
The event commenced by garlanding the statue of Manishi Panchanan Barma and placing wreaths. Following this, the guests highlighted the life and achievements of Manishi Panchanan Barma.
Speaking at the occasion, Cooch Behar district TMC Chairman Girindrananth Barman, the Tirodhan Diwas of Manishi Panchanan Barma is being observed with no political connection. He added that all parties are welcome to pay homage to the prominent social reformer.
